HP Parmley is a London-based artist who works primarily with video, sound and live performance. Leaning into the space of poetics and humour found in the everyday, she collects and collages fragments of daily life as a way to build new narratives. Often through acts of self expression, she explores liminal moments of (mis)communication, daydreaming, hypnosis, exhaustion and longing.

She completed a BFA at Vancouver's University of British Columbia in 2011 before an MFA in Fine Art Media at London's Slade School of Fine Art in 2013. She has since exhibited across the UK and Europe and has completed residencies in Istanbul, Slovenia, Switzerland, Arizona and online. She is assistant editor of the contemporary art and sound magazine AQNB.
